Some gourmet pleasure

So I said to myself; you're in London for 3 years now, done quite a lot of partying, seen quite a few bars and clubs, from the rough The End, the memorable The Cross, Matter, Ministry of Sound to "posh" No5, Chinawhite, Wardour.

So its time for restaurants! Saturday booked for Clos Maggiore, a modern French Restaurant in the heart of London. Having done quite a lot of research, the place seems absolutely awesome; just look at their website and you'll be impressed! Also quite impressive is their 80 page wine list with most having a price well into three digits! However, the food seems to be quite affordable and with interesting combinations of flavors and dishes.

Review to follow... (As is Gordon Ramsay's quite soon!)

Summer 2009…

Its been a long time since my last post - feels like a whole life time of events have happened over the past few months. Where to start from?

Two years of living in Clapham have come to an end. Dimitris - my flat mate and good friend - has taken the leap and decided to move back to Greece, starting with the military service and moving on to finding a job and settling down. So May found me flat hunting, ending up in St. Johns Wood, a green, quiet and quite posh area of Northern London. Flat is good, slightly cheaper than Clapham, roomier but a bit more moody - the dark chocolate interior doesn't really reflect the limited london sunlight as it comes in from the windows. But you gotta love the mirrors in the bedroom and Regents park is a stone throw's away where I'm starting to become a regular!

The two big “eras”…

London EyeA couple of days back, I was looking at the pile of unsorted photos that laid dormant in my laptop. Part because I was bored, part because I realised that many hidden gems existed in that collection that were gathering electronic dust. So I dug out the photos, threw away the rubish and tucked them away in albums. I've decided to split the photos into two "eras"; University and Post-University. For those who know me, going to Lancaster was the first time I experienced true student life. Doing a Bachelors in Athens is vastly different than a Masters in Lancaster. Different country, completely different location and scenery... Don't trust me? Take a look below...

Trip to Bangalore

The LeelaHm.. Where to start from? Its been a long time since I published something over the internet. It was pre-olympic games, summer 2004 in the ever remembered xalara.net. Being 4 years later, April 2008. Xalara.net does not exist any more, I look around me and I'm in a hotel room in Bangalore. Where? Yes... Bangalore.... Hey... How? Why? I keep asking myself the same question! Business is the answer. Its funny 4 years ago, I never thought I would tick this box in the immigration leaflet. Not even mention that I would be flying to Bangalore, stuck in its traffic jam, breathing the full of dust air and driving back in a tropical thunderstorm!
