FYI, I never shop at TopShop. High Street is not particular bad for me. I love some of the pieces coming out occasionally. It can be a strive to find something that you’d been eying for months magically appears in 'Next' with less than 1/10 you intend to pay and 1/10 of the quality you intend to have. It’s all about high and low (a.k.a mixing cheap high street even charity shop bargain with the dreamy designer piece) - I convince myself. Hoping the punishment day will never come: running into someone 10 times less than ordinary or 10 times 'full figured' than you are, wearing the same bargaining treasure.
To cheat in Fashion is a risky game- I have to say.
No one in the 'reaching-to-middle-class-young professional' like me would afford to have a complete designer wardrobe. Therefore, scarcity in resources requires innovation. Innovation leads to revolution: First comes the E-bay! Wait! Actually I'm wrong. First comes China, where people have excellent skill of duplicating the rare. If you can't afford a real one, go get a 'AAA grade duplicate' that almost can fool everyone. Unfortunately, as a result, the credibility of your designer wardrobe is seriously questioned if you are an Asia origin fashion IT girl.
I do not buy or sell fake!!!- can be seen on almost every single Louis Vuitton seller on Ebay. There are 600 Louis Vuitton bags on sell in UK site alone (FACT), make you wondering that maybe no one is actually buy-to-use in these days. They all enter to the buy-to-sell (buy high sell low) market, which may also prove that most LV bag EBayers are either 'Blond' or 'having a fairly long nose'.
Last but not the least, I give you http://www.bagborroworsteal.com. Something that is so amazing that can put a big smile on every fashion-craving girl. It is where you can rent a designer accessory like a LV speedy with 51$/week or 150$/ month! Not to mention the flexibility of switching from LV to Chanel to Macro Jacobs to Gucci to Fendi. The choice is yours. I cannot think one greater thing in 2008 fashion retail market to top this. When boutique pieces come with a high street price; High fashion does not require a bankrupting lump sum monetary L-T commitment; we now have total fashion freedom!!!
